Following our initial communication of January 13, 2017 regarding the ISU Athletes Commission List of Nominees and in accordance with Article 21 of the ISU Constitution, which stipulates that each ISU Member may nominate only 1 Athlete per Branch, we informed the Figure Skating Federation of Russia (FSFR) to withdraw one candidate from the Figure Skating Branch. The FSFR decided to withdraw their candidate from the Synchronized Skating discipline. As a consequence of this change, and considering the fact that only one candidate for Synchronized Skating remains, there will not be any election for Synchronized Skating. Consequently, Nathalie Lindqvist (SWE) is elected as a member of the ISU Athletes Commission as a representative of the Synchronized Skating discipline. |
